Welcome to a Resource Center for Elected Officials and Community Leaders

Open lines of communication and collaborative partnerships are critical elements to realizing our shared goals of preserving vacant properties and maintaining the integrity of our cities. The creation of these public-private partnerships has created beneficial outcomes for all – municipalities and the mortgage servicing industry, alike.

The foreclosure crisis has dealt our cities with many unprecedented challenges. As municipal budgets are stretched, tax bases eroded, and vacancy and unemployment rates soared, public-private partnerships have never been more timely and critical.

Safeguard works closely with elected officials and community leaders to offer a variety of resources, explore viable solutions, and ease the many burdens caused by abandonment. We are committed to providing you with the information and resources needed to meet the many demands within your daily operations, in the communities and for the residents you serve, and for making critical decisions for your jurisdiction.

The following tools and resources are available for elected officials and community leaders. Please feel free to use this information within your community. Your feedback is the foundation of the community initiatives department; it is always welcomed and well-received. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions for additional material that you may find helpful, you have our attention.
