- It's very important to Safeguard and to our
clients that the Safeguard Properties web site is completely
secure, to protect our clients' and our proprietary information,
and to assure that no private information about borrowers ever
becomes vulnerable to access by unauthorized
parties.
- High Risk Property Monitoring and Reporting Enhancements

- All mortgage servicers managing delinquent loans are
faced with increased exposure to property damage or deterioration
when properties are abandoned by borrowers in default.
Properties with special high-risk conditions may be even more
likely to suffer damage: they may become vacant suddenly, suffer
damage that progresses unusually quickly, or sustain frequent
damage by vandalism or other means that are not typical at
properties without such high-risk circumstances or
indicators. This increased exposure to damage means increased
liability and potential losses for the servicer.
- HUD M&M Assignment Updates: Illinois, Indiana; Southern California

- HUD has confirmed that, effective December 20, 2004,
FHA-insured properties in the states of Illinois and Indiana will
be under the supervision on M&M contractor Harrington,
Moran & Barksdale, Inc. (HMBI).

- SPI Eviction Invoicing Procedure Change

- A number of recent HUD audit results reported to us
by our clients have confirmed some specifics about HUD's
requirements for eviction invoicing. HUD requires that
debris removal and any other work performed on or around the date
of the eviction but not pursuant to the specific
instructions of the supervising sheriff be billed by the
cubic yard, not by man-hours.
