EPA Guidelines for Methamphetamine Laboratory Cleanup
February 18th, 2010
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released their Voluntary Guidelines for Methamphetamine Laboratory Cleanup (per the Methamphetamine Remediation Research Act of 2007)
It is important to note that this is not a Federal regulation/law. It is simply a voluntary guideline that can be used by any municipal (County or State) entities to be able to develop their own regulations regarding the clean up of meth labs.
There are currently 22 states that have meth lab clean up regulations in place. It is expected now that the EPA has released their guidelines the remaing states will develop regulations.
