VA Circular 26-10-4 Change 1

The VA released a change to Circular 26-10-4, Title Documentation in Florida.

TITLE DOCUMENTATION IN FLORIDA
1. Purpose: The purpose of this change is to amend the information in the circular
concerning the fixed period of liability preceding acquisition of title in a foreclosure for
Home Owners Association (HOA) dues and assessments on a condominium unit, as a
result of a recent change in Florida law that became effective July 1, 2010.

2. Therefore, Circular 26-10-4 is changed as follows:

Page 1, paragraph 3, lines 10 and 11: Delete “The fixed period is … in a PUD.” and
insert “The fixed period is 12 months for a property in a PUD, and effective July 1, 2010,
12 months for a condominium.”
