Loss Draft Inspections

Often, repairs and rehabilitation work are necessary in occupied homes, due to damages that result in claims being filed with the insurance company.  In these cases, Safeguard can send an inspector to verify that the repairs are completed.

Within 24 to 48 hours of contact with the servicer, the inspector will set an appointment with the homeowner to assess the completed work.  Through an interview with the borrower, the inspector will survey the extent of the damage and the quality of the repairs completed.  He or she will also evaluate the borrower’s satisfaction with the repairs. Safeguard then provides our clients with a report of the progress made, as well as any alerts that the work is not being completed as scheduled.  This ensures that the funds are not released until all work has been completed satisfactorily.
