Property Inspection Quality Control
The key to Safeguard’s quality control practices lies in our comprehensive training of our vendors and the consistent monitoring of completed work. New inspectors participate in Safeguard’s credentialing program, which allows them to train and work with an assigned regional coordinator and billing specialist to learn the ins and outs of the process. They are also trained on the investor/insurer guidelines, Safeguard’s requirements and client-specific directives. From there, each inspector is given a monthly report card outlining areas for improvement.
After training, inspectors are consistently monitored to ensure their work is being completed per all applicable guidelines. Clients, brokers, contractors and Safeguard personnel use field trips to visit specific cities in an attempt to guarantee the quality of work being completed.
Safeguard's Vendor Management Team completes various quality control checks on our inspectors. Random inspection orders are generated and sent to inspectors on properties that do not exist, and responses from the field are closely monitored to ensure that the inspectors report bad addresses accordingly. Order assignments are rotated periodically to have a fresh perspective, further ensuring accurate reporting. We also continually monitor incoming results, checking for reports that are consistent with the loan history, and manually reviewing all discrepancies.
