The Massachussets Joint Committee on the Judiciary convened a hearing on several pieces of pending legislation addressing foreclosure, mediation and tenant protections.
As discussed in the below article, the hearing "drew an overflow crowd of legislators, homeowners, tenants, community organizers, legal aid and real estate attorneys, small property owners and lending industry representatives. "

As discussed in a July Editorial in the Cleveland Plain Dealer "Rep. Dennis Murray, a Sandusky Democrat, is working on legislation that would require banks to take foreclosed properties to sheriff's sale quickly or lose their mortgage liens."

On October 21, 2009 State Representative Dennis Murray (D-Sandusky) introduced HB 323.
