York Pa City Council recently approved a vacant property registration ordinance. As discussed in the following article from the York Daily Record  the enacted ordinance does not include the original provision which would have excluded federal, state and city governments, as well as other agencies, from reporting their vacant buildings.

The City of Stockton has enacted "Urgency Ordinance 009-08 C.S. effective August 19, 2008, regarding maintenance, security, and rehabilitation of abandoned and vacant property." Following is a video recording of the council session along with a recent article on Recordnet.

 A recent article in the Dallas Morning News discusses a new ordinance passed by the Garland City Council  that requires owners of "abandoned and distressed" properties to post a $2,500 bond that the city can use to maintain the property.
