In a recent article, the Clarion Ledger (Mississippi) discusses comments made by Municipal Court Judge Ali ShamsiDeen at a meeting at the Jackson Police Department Precinct 2 headquarters. Judge ShamsiDeen said "property owners can file simple negligence or nuisance lawsuits against property owners if they can show damages, such as decreases in property values attributable to the blighted property."
