The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) is compiling a contact list of loss mitigation and workout departments for member companies.
While some local entities compile this information (Summit County OH, Summit County OH #2, Ohio Treasurer) this is the first large scale initiative.
Please see the following email from Jonathan Kempner, President and CEO, Mortgage Bankers Association:

Date: Wed, 20 Jun 2007 15:15:41
From: "Jonathan Kempner" vvidal@mortgagebankers.org
I am writing to request your assistance for an important Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) initiative.
MBA is in the process of compiling a contact list of loss mitigation and workout departments at member companies. The purpose of the list is to provide borrowers that are experiencing financial difficulties with information they need to contact their servicers to talk about workout options.
The plan is to place this information on MBA's Home Loan Learning Center website http://www.homeloanlearningcenter.com. We are also contemplating using this information as part of certain national and local advertising efforts.
We ask that you consider providing the following information about your company:
- Toll free phone number(s) dedicated to loss mitigation;
- Days and times of operation for toll free phone numbers; and,
- Dedicated e-mail address that borrowers can use to contact loss mitigation personnel.
MBA would like to get this list on our website as soon as possible. We are asking for responses by June 29, 2007.
Please remit your information via email to Missy McTamney at mmctamney@mortgagebankers.org and copy Vicki Vidal at vvidal@mortgagebankers.org .
If you have questions about the content of this request, please email or call Missy McTamney at (202) 557-2850 or Vicki Vidal at (202) 557-2861. Thank you
Most sincerely,
Jonathan L. Kempner
President and CEO
