Cook County IL Eviction Procedures

Cook County IL (including the City of Chicago) has amended its' eviction procedures.

The Cook County Sheriff’s Office will no longer arrange moving services for evictions. Plaintiffs (servicers and the respective field service entities) will be responsible for making arrangements to have any personal property of evicted defendants removed from the real property after the Cook County Sheriff has enforced the Order for Possession and tendered possession of the real property to the plaintiff.

This will take effect August 06, 2007.
