The "Change a Light, Change the World" campaign is being launched nationwide to promote energy conservation and awareness across the country. Partnerships for Home Energy Efficiency, comprised of HUD, the EPA, and the Department of Energy, is beginning the annual "Energy Star Change a Light, Change the World" campaign on Oct. 3, 2007. The Partnership has sent an invitation to every U.S. Governor, encouraging them to issue proclamations declaring October 3, 2007 as ENERGY STAR Change a Light Day
Americans are encouraged to do their part by replacing at least one bulb or fixture in their home with a bulb or fixture that has earned the Government’s ENERGY STAR label. Individuals may get involved this year by pledging, as an easy but effective way to demonstrate commitment to promoting energy efficiency and conservation.
