Safeguard has recently made system modifications to ensure that all necessary information pertinent to Mobile/Manufactured home properties is provided to our clients. 
 
When a property is flagged in our system as Mobile/Manufactured home the inspector is now  required to provide the following information.

Our contractor website auto update has been programmed not to allow the inspector to submit the update unless the following information is received:

Occupied units:
* Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), if the home is vacant or if the VIN is readily accessible from the exterior of the home
* Description (single-wide, double-wide, etc.)
* Dimensions (length and width)
* Whether the unit is mobile or affixed to a foundation
* Whether the tongue, wheel, and axles are attached to the unit
* Whether the unit is skirted

The following fields are also available for the inspectors to provide additional information but are not required to complete, as this information may not always be available:
* HUD Registration Tag number
* Make
* Model
* Year

Vacant units:
All of the above are required fields and will not allow the contractor to submit the update if any of the above is not completed.

Safeguard has been providing this information to our clients for some time, but we have now automated the process to require this information at the time of the initial update.  It is our hope that this added requirement will help to assure that we obtain and provide our clients with all required property information accurately and efficiently.
