The VA Regional Loan Centers listed below have issued new information concerning expenses for preservation of security.

VA Roanoke Loan Guaranty Information Letter 26-04-08

Roanoke Regional Office:
  LOAN GUARANTY INFORMATION LETTER #26-04-08, rescinding Loan Guaranty Information Letter #26-03-06

There are no changes to allowable preservation expenses.

The new letter does note increases in allowables for attorney fees and liquidation appraisals:

Attorney Fees:
Attorney fees, in connection with foreclosure sales and voluntary conveyances, will be reimbursed as follows:

• Kentucky - $850.00;
• D.C., (including Northern Virginia counties) - $600.00
• Remainder of Virginia - $600.00
• West Virginia - $550.00
• Maryland (entire state) - $800.00

Liquidation appraisal (single family):

• $400.00 -MD
• $400.00 -DC
• $400.00 -VA/WVA
• $325.00 ?Kentucky
• (Jefferson & Warren counties; and cities Louisville, Lexington, and Bowling)
• $375.00 ?Remainder of Kentucky

Manchester Regional Loan Center:

 Release 04-10 and  Exhibit B rescinding RLC Release 03-06.

The new release contains the following substantive changes:

Release 04-10 and its Exhibit B indicated that debris removal, if authorized, will be reimbursed at a rate of $35 per load, whereas Release 03-06 and the accompanying Exhibit B indicated a rate of $100 per load.

The Manchester RLC has advised that the $100 rate in the previous release was a typographical error.  The correct rate per load for debris removal should be $35.

There are no other changes to the preservation allowables.
