Update On September 12th, the following four (4) counties were declared eligible for Public Assistance: Barton, Ellsworth, Kingman and Lane Counties. Update On August 5th, the following four (4) counties were declared eligible for Public Assistance: Elk, Haskell, Reno and Wilson Counties. Please see below for an updated Excel spreadsheet of affected zip codes. On July 9th, FEMA issued a Presidential Disaster Declaration for areas in the State of Kansas. No counties were declared eligible for Individual Assistance. The following counties were declared eligible for Public Assistance: Barber, Bourbon, Brown, Butler, Chautauqua, Cherokee, Clark, Clay, Comanche, Cowley, Crawford, Decatur, Dickinson, Edwards, Ellis, Franklin, Gove, Graham, Harper, Hodgeman, Jackson, Jewell, Kiowa, Linn, Logan, Mitchell, Montgomery, Ness, Norton, Osborne, Pawnee, Phillips, Pratt, Republic, Riley, Rooks, Rush, Saline, Seward, Sheridan, Smith, Stafford, Sumner, Thomas, Trego and Wallace Counties.
