Baltimore City Code Eviction Chattel
Sunday, 14 September 2008

The City of Baltimore has enacted new requirements pertaining to disposal of personal property/debris during an eviction.

Current wording in the City Code states, "Under no circumstances may eviction chattels, abandoned or otherwise, be placed in a public rightof-way or on any public property."

Pertaining to penalties (violations of the above) current wording states, "Any person who violates any provision of § 8A-5 or § 8A-6 of this subtitle is guilty of a misdemeanor and, on conviction, is subject to a fine of not more than $1,000 for each offense."
Additionally, "Each day that a violation continues is a separate offense."
