Cleveland, Ohio, November 20, 2008 --  Safeguard Properties announced today that its chief operating officer Alan Jaffa was selected by Crain's Cleveland Business for the 2008 Class of "40 Under 40".  Each year, Crain's Cleveland Business identifies 40 individuals in Northeast Ohio under age 40 who are making significant contributions to their communities and their professions.  

Robert Klein, CEO of Safeguard Properties, nominated Alan, noting his hard work, his understanding of the business and his many contributions to the growth and success of the company.  Alan joined Safeguard in 1995 and moved through nearly every department within the company, was appointed vice president in 1999 and chief operating officer in 2002.
