Update On May 14, the following one (1) county and one (1) reservation were declared eligible for Individual Assistance: Ramsey County and the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians Reservation. On May 14, the following two (2) counties and one (1) reservation were declared eligible for Public Assistance: Rolette and Sheridan Counties and the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians Reservation. Please note that the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians Reservation encompasses areas in Rolette County, ND which has only been declared for Public Assistance, however the reservation is eligible for both Individual and Public Assistance. Please see below for an updated Excel spreadsheet of affected areas. Update On April 24, the following seven (7) counties were declared eligible for Individual Assistance: Grant, McHenry, Oliver, Pierce, Stark, Walsh and Ward Counties and Spirit Lake and Standing Rock Indian Reservations. On April 24, the following twelve (12) counties were declared eligible for Public Assistance: Bottineau, Bowman, Eddy, Griggs, McHenry, Mountrail, Pierce, Steele, Towner, Traill, Ward and Wells Counties and the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate of the Lake Traverse Reservation. Please note that Standing Rock Indian Reservation encompasses all of Sioux County, ND which has not been declared for Individual Assistance, however the reservation has been declared. This reservation also encompasses areas of South Dakota. FEMA has specified that only the areas in North Dakota are eligible for assistance. Spirit Lake Indian Reservation encompasses parts of Benson and Eddy Counties, ND, declared for Public Assistance, but not Individual Assistance. Only those areas on the Reservation are eligible for Individual Assistance. The Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate of the Lake Traverse Reservation includes areas in Sargent and Richland Counties, ND, both declared for Public Assistance, and areas in South Dakota. There is no indication on the FEMA website regarding whether the areas in South Dakota are included. Please see below for an updated Excel spreadsheet of affected areas. Update On April 10, the following twenty-six (26) counties were declared eligible for Individual Assistance: Adams, Barnes, Billings, Burleigh, Cass, Dickey, Emmons, Foster, Grand Forks, Griggs, Hettinger, Kidder, LaMoure, Logan, McIntosh, Mercer, Morton, Nelson, Ransom, Richland, Sargent, Steele, Stutsman, Towner, Traill and Williams Counties. Please see below for an updated Excel spreadsheet of affected areas. On March 24th, FEMA issued a Presidential Disaster Declaration for areas in the State of North Dakota. No counties were declared eligible for Individual Assistance. The following counties and reservations were declared eligible for Public Assistance: Adams, Barnes, Benson, Billings, Burleigh, Cass, Cavalier, Dickey, Dunn, Emmons, Foster, Grand Forks, Grant, Hettinger, Kidder, LaMoure, Logan, McIntosh, McKenzie, McLean, Mercer, Morton, Nelson, Oliver, Pembina, Ramsey, Ransom, Richland, Sargent, Sioux, Stark, Stutsman, Walsh and Williams Counties and Standing Rock and Spirit Lake Indian Reservations. Please note that Standing Rock Indian Reservation encompasses all of Sioux County, ND which is included in this disaster declaration. This reservation also encompasses areas of South Dakota. There is no indication on the FEMA website regarding whether the areas in South Dakota are included. Spirit Lake Indian Reservation encompasses parts of Benson County, ND, already declared, and parts of Eddy County, ND, not yet declared. Eddy County ZIP codes are 58356 and 58374.
