New Modification Program Resources Available
New and updated resources are available on eFannieMae.com for servicers to assist them in implementing the Home Affordable Modification program.
Borrower Solicitation Materials
All program materials are now available including:
- A revised "Home Affordable Modification Trial Period Plan" (formerly the "Workout Plan"),
- Instructions and new letters for an alternative income verification process where servicers may require a borrower to submit the required documentation necessary to verify the borrower's eligibility for a Home Affordable Modification before preparing the Home Affordable Modification Trial Period Plan,
- The Home Affordable Modification Agreement and its cover letter, and
- More borrower-friendly, visually appealing solicitation letters.
Weekly Trial Period Reporting Tools
Instructions are now available for submitting weekly activity updates during the trial period.
Mortgage Insurance Delegations of Authority
Also available is a list of the mortgage insurers from which Fannie Mae has obtained blanket delegations of authority on behalf of all servicers. With this delegation, servicers do not have to obtain separate mortgage insurer approval at the company or loan level.
