On June 16th, FEMA issued a Presidential Disaster Declaration for areas in the State of South Dakota.
No counties were declared eligible for Individual Assistance. The following counties and reservations were declared eligible for Public Assistance: Brown, Butte, Campbell, Corson, Day, Dewey, Edmunds, Harding, Marshall, McPherson, Perkins, Roberts, Spink and Ziebach Counties and the Cheyenne River and Standing Rock Reservations. Please note that the Cheyenne River Reservation ecompasses areas in Dewey and Ziebach Counties, both of which have been declared eligible for assistance. The Standing Rock Reservation encompasses all of Corson County, SD which is included in this disaster declaration. This reservation also encompasses areas of North Dakota. The declaration only applies to those areas that have been declared eligible for assistance in this declaration.
