Fannie Mae Announcement 09-26
Friday, 24 July 2009
Fannie Mae has released Announcement 09-25 titled, "Extension of HOPE NOW Alliance Borrower Counseling Reimbursement".

Introduction

Fannie Mae has been providing reimbursement to servicers who pay counseling fees on behalf of borrowers to support delinquency resolution through the HOPE NOW Alliance. HOPE NOW is an alliance of counselors, servicers, investors, and other mortgage market participants that strive to maximize outreach efforts to at-risk homeowners and assist in preventing foreclosure. Fannie Mae is extending the time period for servicers to request reimbursement for counseling fees, and revising the process for servicers who submit multiple reimbursement requests.
