Pursuant to the numerous recent FEMA declarations of disaster areas following several hurricanes, HUD has issued Mortgagee Letters 2004-36 and 2004-37, outlining Underwriting and Servicing Policies to Assist Victims of Presidentially-Declared Major Disaster Areas.
