HUD Servicing Policies re: Victims of Declared Disasters; HUD Consumer Guidance re: Mold

Pursuant to the numerous recent FEMA declarations of disaster areas following several hurricanes, HUD has issued Mortgagee Letter 2004-38 outlining Servicing Policies to Assist Victims of Presidentially-Declared Disasters.  This letter is issued to remind mortgagees to be sensitive to the problems of mortgagors who have been affected by any Presidentially-declared disaster. A link to the entire Mortgagee Letter appears below.
