City of Cleveland Zero Blight Initiative

Cleveland Mayor Jane Campbell is making a report by the National Vacant Properties Campaign the basis for a new city program known as the "Zero Blight Initiative." 

Campbell has indicated that the city will pursue recommendations from the report including a vacant property registry and increased pressure on mortgage companies to assure that vacant properties in default and foreclosure are properly maintained.
