Mailer Postcard Language
Tuesday, 31 October 2000

Please be advised that we are considering some changes to the HUD Mailer postcards that are sent to mortgagors when clients use the HUD Mailer Program.

In response to the HUD mailer postcard, a few mortgagors have responded by submitting mortgage payments to Safeguard. Safeguard is not in the business of collecting any debt and would like to make this clear on the postcards.

We would like to add the following language to each card:

This is only an occupancy verification. Any and all loan payments should be made directly to your mortgage holder and not to the sender of this card.

Additionally, while we were reviewing this issue with a client, a suggestion was made to have the postcards printed in both English and Spanish.

Please advise whether the above referenced change is acceptable for use on the postcards sent on your behalf and whether you would like your cards printed in both English and Spanish.

Your input in appreciated.

Sincerely,

Robert
