Earlier this year, Safeguard issued a release (Freddie Mac June 10 Guide Bulletin 2005-3) informing you that Freddie Mac had updated Guide Bulletin 2005-3 (Bulletin Number 2005-3), thereby implementing several changes to the Selling and Servicing Guide. As part of this update, Freddie Mac specified the following standard timeframes to be observed for grass cut and winterization seasons: Grass Cuts - In the states of AL, AR, AZ, CA, FL, GA, GU, HI, KS, LA, MS, NM, NV, OK, SC, TX, and VI, grass cuts are allowed year round. In all other states, grass cuts are allowed between April (4/1) and September (9/30). Winterizations - In the states of AK, CT, IA, IL, IN, MA, ME, MI, MN, MT, ND, NE, NH, NY, OH, PA, RI, SD, VT, and WI, winterizations are allowed year round. In all other states, winterizations are allowed between October (10/1) and March (3/31). Going forward, Safeguard will observe these timeframes for loans insured by Freddie Mac - provided that we receive this loan type designation, and our client/vendor agreement specifies that investor information is to be utilized. If you have questions regarding the timeframes specified above or your agreement in particular, please contact R&D Manager Kathy Cogan by e-mail at kathy.cogan@safeguardproperties.com or by telephone at 800-852-8306, extension 1394. |
