Updated 10/31/05 On October 24th FEMA issued a Presidential Disaster Declaration for areas affected by Hurricane Wilma. The following counties were declared eligible for Individual Assistance: Collier, Lee and Monroe The following counties were declared eligible for Public Assistance: Brevard, Broward, Charlotte , Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, Indian River, Lee, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe , Okeechobee, Osceola, Palm Beach , Polk, St. Lucie, and Sarasota. On October 26th, FEMA announced that the following seven counties, previously eligible for Public Assistance are now eligible for Individual Assistance: Broward, Glades, Hendry, Martin, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and St. Lucie.
