DHS/FEMA Notice of Maximum Amount of Assistance Available Following a Major Disaster

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released Directive Number 05-20292. This directive raises the dollar amounts available as grant money from FEMA to victims of FEMA declared disasters.  This directive is only for disasters declared after October 1, 2005.  The maximum amount of federal grant money has been increased of 3.6%; based on consumer pricing indexes over the past few years.
