TO: ALL APPROVED MORTGAGEES

ATTENTION: Single Family Servicing Managers

SUBJECT: Clarification Regarding Title Approval issues, Property Condition at Conveyance, Administrative Offsets and a New Process for Lender Appeal of Conveyance Issues.

Over the past several months, industry representatives have made recommendations to the Department in various forums, including servicing conferences, regarding policy and procedure issues. This mortgagee letter
provides clarification of issues relating to title approval, property condition at conveyance and administrative offsets. The lender appeal process relative to conveyance issues is also addressed in this mortgagee letter. The effective date is thirty days from the date of this mortgagee letter....
