As you may be aware, the USFN will be hosting their National Default Servicing Seminar & Technology Forum June 4 through June 6 in Chicago, IL. For this conference, the USFN has again dedicated two sessions to address Property Preservation issues. Session one will focus on HUD loans and the newly released ML 2003-05. Representatives from HUD and other investors will participate in this session and be on hand to answer questions relating to inspection and preservation issues. In addition, we are anticipating that representatives from three M&M HUD contractors (First Preston, Golden Feather, and MC&B) will also be participating in the sessions. The second session will be focused on VA, FHLMC, FNMA, and CV loans. This session will review any new VA, FNMA, and FHLMC preservation releases and general preservation and protection issues. We anticipate having representatives from the VA, FNMA, and FHLMC participating in the session. I have attached for your review a proposed agenda of issues that can be discussed and have been reviewed in previous USFN conference sessions. We are currently in the process of establishing the panel for these sessions. Servicers are invited and encouraged to participate as panelists to discuss the changes in the investor/insurer guidelines and general preservation requirements. Both sessions are scheduled to be held on Thursday morning starting at 8:45 am. If you are attending the conference and are interested in participating as a panelist, please let me know, and I will add you to the panel. Once the panel has been established, we will hold a conference call before the seminar to finalize the discussion agenda. If you are not able to attend the conference or the sessions and have issues or questions you would like raised at the conference, please forward those to me via email at robert.klein@safeguardproperties.com, and I will have them added to the agenda.
