The VA Regional Loan Center listed below has issued a new information bulletin concerning expenses for preservation of security. 

Cleveland Regional Office : Loan Guaranty Information Letter 26-03-13, rescinding 26-02-12

The new letter contains the following substantive changes:

Where the previous letter allowed "additional clean-up" only where there were existing violations, and required a copy of the violations notice, the new letter provides for the removal of interior debris that poses a health, fire, or safety hazard.  The new letter also requires the removal of exterior debris that poses a health or safety hazard, and lists, as examples of such hazards, trash, fallen trees or limbs, junk, and abandoned vehicles. 

In addition, the allowable for authorized debris removal was reduced for Ohio only to $18 per cubic yard.

Other pricing changes affecting Ohio only are as follows:
    Initial Cut City Lot increased to $55.00
    Swimming Pool (drain and remove) increased to $350.00
    Steam Heat Winterization increased to $150.00

All changes appear in red type in the linked Word documents.
