The First Energy electric company
is implementing a
new system
identification change. Effective May 1, 2006, First Energy, will no longer
recognize client tax ID numbers. First Energy will designate a business partner number to
each customer and require the number
to make requests for the transfer of
utilities.
The first account transferred using the business partner
number will systemically trigger all other accounts under
that customer to be updated with the business partner
number.
Safeguard clients can
contact First Energy (Subsidiaries) by
clicking here to receive
their business partner number.
Safeguard must be updated on all
client business partner numbers to ensure we are able
to transfer the electric service when
needed at needed
properties.
