Fannie Mae released Lender Letter 06-06, describing enhancements made to the Home Saver Solutions Network (HSSN) and their loss mitigation reporting system. The letter also clarifies the definitions of some delinquency status codes.

Included in this Letter:

• Additional Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) codes that will be accepted
  

• Updates on several delinquency status codes

• Revised Servicing Guide Part VII, Chapter 6, Exhibit 1 "Delinquency Status" Codes (attachment to the Letter)

Servicers may begin reporting these codes to Fannie Mae beginning July 1, 2006. Mandatory reporting of these codes will be effective on November 1, 2006. Fannie Mae encourages servicers that have the ability to report these codes before November 1 to do so.
