HUD has announced that The Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Implementation Guides for reporting defaults to HUD's Single Family Default Monitoring System (SFDMS) (Transaction Set 264) and the Application Advice (Transaction Set 824) have been revised. These revisions detail the relevant processes to report defaults to HUD based on the requirements of Mortgagee Letter 06-15. These guides were revised in order for lenders, service bureaus, and other companies to make any modifications to their systems ahead of the implementation of 30/60 default reporting. HUD reminds its partners that they must not submit any TS264 transmissions under the revised format before November 1, 2006.
