Field Servicing Role in Securing & Maintaining Properties
Monday, 31 July 2006

Inspections and preservation of properties in default is a crucial part of protecting the collateral interest of the lender and servicer.  To clarify the role Field Service companies play in the default process, Safeguard has made a number of industry presentations and documented a wide range of the field servicers’ responsibilities in the following Power Point presentation.

Included are details related to how field servicers are to comply with the guidelines for such actions as:

  • Securing and winterizing
  • Photo documentation
  • Hazard claims reporting
  • Providing bids
  • Debris removal
  • Health and safety concerns
  • Removal of personal property
  • Making repairs
  • Code compliance
  • Consistent QC measures

As we continue to promote industry consensus on procedures, the goal is to achieve consistent quality that will benefit the entire industry.

Please contact Nicole.Alling@safeguardproperties.com if we might assist you by making this no-cost presentation available to appropriate members of your staff at your convenience.

Sincerely…
