City of Rochester NY Fraudulent Citations
Sunday, 10 September 2006

A recent report discusses the appearance of fraudulent violation notices in Rochester NY (14602-27, 38-39, 42-47, 49-53, 64, 73, 83, 92, 94). Included below is a link to a follow-up report.

That agency is not an official city agency, and the flyers are not legitimate city notices.

The documents sport the city of Rochester logo and at first glance, can look official.

They start out…”NOTICE AND ORDER – PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that an inspection of the above property which is owned, operated or occupied by you has revealed that the property is in violation of the codes, laws…”
