Safeguard Properties , has been chosen to receive the prestigious 2006 Weatherhead 100 award, with recognition as a Centurion company for the 11th and 3rd consecutive years, respectively. Presented by the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, the Weatherhead 100 showcases the fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio.

The Weatherhead 100 award identifies and honors the 100 fastest growing companies based on sales from 2001 through 2005. Companies must have sales exceeding $100,000 in 2000 and over $1 million in 2005. The Weatherhead 100 Centurion award acknowledges companies achieving 100 percent or more sales growth from 2001 to 2005 and net sales of $100 million or more in 2005.

The Weatherhead winners will be officially announced at an award ceremony Dec. 5 and in the December issue of Weatherheadlines.

Founded as a two-person office in 1990 by Robert Klein, Safeguard has exploded into the largest privately held mortgage field services company in the nation, achieving the Weatherhead 100 recognition within the first five years of operation (in 1996) and then every consecutive year since. Noting the reasons for the company’s success, President and CEO Robert Klein commented, “Safeguard's hallmark of "Customer Service=Resolution" has defined our corporate philosophy since the company inception 16 years ago, and it will continue to act as a beacon for our future goals, as achieving this level of service always remains the primary goal in our professional endeavors."

Acknowledging the Weatherhead recognition, Klein expressed his appreciation and respect for the organization, “We're honored and appreciative for the continued recognition. These awards attest to the efforts of our staff, clients, and vendors as integral components in our growth. Safeguard also extends our appreciation and respect to the Weatherhead School of Management for always promoting success and strength in entrepreneurialism.”
