National Property Preservation Conference 2009 Schedule of Events
The following is a preliminary schedule of this year's conference events. Additional information will be posted as we finalize the sessions and keynote speakers.
Wednesday, November 4

Session Schedule
Session 1, State of the Industry: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Session 1 will be conducted by a panel of the industry senior executive level staff and provide a high-level overview of the issues/topics that will be discussed in detail over the course of the next two days. Leaders from various sectors of the industry will be on the panel including HUD, VA, FNMA, FHLMC senior staff.
Morning Break: 10:00 AM - 10:15 AM
Session 2, HUD Part 1: 10:15 AM - 12:00 PM
Session 2 will be an in-depth discussion an follow up on Vance Morris Key-note speech directly relating to HUD.s latest M&M III contract and how the new contract will impact the industry.
Lunch: Noon - 1:15
Session 3, HUD Part 2: 1:30 PM - 2:45 PM
Session 3 will continue the discussion with HUD key staff and address current P&P servicers guideline.
Afternoon Break: 2:45 PM - 3:00 PM
Session 4, Investors: 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Session 4 will provide a forum for representatives from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the VA to present updates on their respective organizations, and also address any concerns from the audience. This is another great opportunity to be able to hear directly from the investors key personnel.
Session 5, Inspections and Hazard Claims: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Time permitting, Session 5 will focus on property inspections and hazard claims as they relate to filing claims on damaged properties.

Friday, November 6

Session Schedule
Session 1, REO: 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM
Session 1 will provide an open forum to review key topics within REO, from local and state VPR ordinances being passed around the country and there impact on default servicing. Topics will also include REO disposition options in a changing market, key facts and figures on the state of the industry, and best practices and new approaches.
Morning Break: 10:30 AM - 10:45 AM
Session 2, Tenant Protection: 10:45 AM - 12:00 PM
Session 2 will focus on S.896, which was signed into law on May 20, 2009 and set into motion the Protecting Tenants after Foreclosure Act. Come join our distinguished panel as they discuss the PTFA and what the impact has been during the first 6 months. Topics will include the practices put into effect to comply with the statute; whether there are signs of uniformity within the industry; the courts. interpretations of the statute and its provisions; and the manner in which the courts/municipalities will be viewing the REO owner.The session will be recommending a Best Practice process for industry implementation.
Session 3, Community Impact: Noon - 1:00 PM
Session 3 will conclude this year.s conference by focusing on the issue of community impact; specifically, the initiatives (both those that are in place and those that are being proposed) to address vacant blight, as well as an update on the Neighborhood Stabilization Program of 2008. Additional topics include community relation efforts to bridge the gap between various sectors of the industry. Join us as we conclude what is sure to be another informative and enlightening conference.
