Memo 1132 - REO Contractor Quality Inspections
To: All REO Contractors
From: REO Department

Recently, we issued memo number 1126 Maintenance Maid Services to re-emphasize to our REO contractors how vital it is that all REO properties are maintained in marketable condition. Since this time we have implemented a new internal quality control program to ensure that maid services are being addressed on all properties on a monthly basis.

The new process will generate an inspection immediately after the trash out is completed and inspections will continue every 30 days thereafter.

You may receive an order where you will be asked to return and address the maid service based off photos and documentation that the inspector has provided. This can be avoided if you follow Safeguard's policy. A follow up inspection will be completed each time you are asked to complete these services.

Safeguard requires that all REO contractors check and refresh the maid service every time that a listed property is visited. This is part of the ongoing initial services order. We expect our contractors to perform a quick wipe-down at each visit to assure that the property stays in the broom-swept condition required for all REO properties. Visits where you are expected to complete this re-check and refresh include (but are not necessarily limited to) recurring grass cut orders, resecures, etc.

If you have any questions about this or any other requirement for maintenance of REO properties, please contact your regional coordinator.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.
